Good to know

What happens to my orders and positions

Pending orders stay pending

Limit and stop orders are not cancelled during a holiday – they queue and are triggered once the market reopens and price reaches your level.

Positions stay open

Open positions are held through the closure. Swap continues to be charged or credited on positions held overnight.

Expect a gap on reopen

After a holiday, price can reopen away from the last close. Use stop-loss and take-profit levels that account for gap risk.

Spreads can widen

Around holiday opens and closes liquidity is thinner, so spreads may widen and execution can be slower than usual.

Markets move fast. Follow to keep up.
